Hello,
I have 2 Led controllers (model WL5, 5 in 1 LED Strip Controller (WiFi+2.4G) ) for a couple of years and they were working great until I had to change my wifi settings (SSID, password and IP class) and I’m not able to re-add them in SmartLife app.
I have tried everything that I could possibly find on google and with AI, nothing worked.
- hold 3-5 seconds the SET button to enter pair mode and after this, red led started blinking (kind of slow) and it hadn’t been changed since then.
- from SmartLife, tried with Light > Light Source - both Wi-Fi and BLE+WiFi
- tried with strip lights, others
- tried both with selecting slowly blinking and quickly blinking (somewhere on internet it was stated that the relative slow blinking is in fact quick blinking)
- tried holding the SET button 20 secs, 30 secs, 2 minutes, nothing
- tried to power off-on 3 times, 5 times, 6 times, 10 times, nothing
- tried to hold SET button while off and turning it on, nothing
- tried from the MiBoxer app, nothing
- tried to set up a new wifi network with the Old SSID and pw, nothing
- tried to create hotspot from a phone with the old SSID, nothing
- tried from Iphone, pocophone, motorola to pair it, nothing
- left it a couple of days off, nothing
- tried this with both of them and nothing worked
Other things that worth to be mentioned:
- older router on which worked was an Asus AX92u, newer one is an Asus BE88u. Older one was using smart connect (both 2.4 and 5ghz networks had same SSID and pw) and it was working fine, same thing on the new one.
- at one point in the past, I changed something to the network (on the Asus AX92u) and had to repair them to wifi, I remember that I was struggling then too, but at one point I got it working (but can’t remember what I did)
- I also have a Remote FUT006 which works with both of the led controllers, tried to unpair the remote, pair with app, no luck
Please help me with some info or instructions, so I can re-add them to Wifi.
I don’t even know if pairing mode would mean for the controller to broadcast a wifi network, or discoverable via bluetooth, or how would this work.
I’m willing to try any suggestion/trick that anyone would have.
Thank you in advance.
