Integration of Miboxer ligths in Home Assistant

Hi,

I’ve got several MiBoxer lights FUT065 in each room at my home. Each room’s lights are controlled with switch K0-W. All of that works quite nice without issues.

Some time ago I decided to integrate all of my smart home appliances in one place - Home Assistant and with that step I have the issue with MiBoxer.

Solution I use now:

  • the MiBoxer Gateway WL-Box2 is added to SmartLife (Tuya) application and
  • for each room (zone) I’ve created Tap-to-Run scenes like:
    • Room #1 Ligths ON 50% Warm White,
    • Room #1 Ligths ON 75% Neutral White,
    • Room #1 Ligths OFF
    • etc.
  • these scenes are then integrated to Home Assistant via Tuya integration and with some additional configuration I am able to switch on and off the lights.

Problem with that approach - it is not possible to:

  • change the color,
  • change the white temperature,
  • change the brightness,
  • and is cumbersome to configure.

Questions:

  • Do MiBoxer has some plans to allow full integration with Home Assistant (via Tuya)?
  • Or open the API to community to work on such integration?
  • Or any other suggestion how to integrate MiBoxer lights in Home Assistant?
    • (to get free from not so user friendly Tuya application)

Any help is appreciated

with best regards,
Lucas

A bit late but this works really well for me.

I have the older version 1 hub but it should work for the newer one. Once you have the hub key bit you no longer need the gateway or the app and it’s all local in HA with the your new homemade hub.

We use standard Tuya smart solution, Only Tuya company have plan to update the system or not, we will send this feedback to Tuya, thank you.
